Attorney General's Statement

The head of the Justice Department, Pam Bondi, announced the prosecutor's departure on the start of the week. In a statement that the judicial decision made it impossible for her to perform her duties.

The appellate judges said that a acting appointment that bypassed confirmation by the US Senate ran afoul of the federal law governing appointments.

Ongoing Legal Battle

It was also stated that the former prosecutor will remain at the justice department as a senior adviser. They intend to challenge the decision of the court's action, in the hope of achieving a reversal.

Writing online, Bondi contended that the court "should not be able to second-guess the President's choice of lawyers responsible for carrying out the primary duty of the administration of prosecuting crime."

Performance in Office

The attorney general highlighted Habba's record and pointed out that under her leadership, the Newark saw a one-fifth decrease in criminal activity. It was also reported that the southern city of Camden recorded its first summer in 50 years with no murders.

Connection to Donald Trump
