Patrick Murray, widely recognized for taking on the role of Mickey Pearce in the iconic television show Only Fools and Horses, has left us at 68.

During 2021, the actor revealed that he had been diagnosed with lung cancer and had an procedure to remove a tumor in his lung in its early stages.

He stated in 2022 that his doctor had advised him that his “lung tumor was gone and that the tumor in his liver organ was shrinking”, but during April 2023 he revealed it had come back.

Acting Achievements

The actor played Mickey, a not-so-bright mate of David Jason’s Del Boy and the role of Rodney Trotter, throughout twenty installments of the show between 1983 and 2003.

Earlier in his career, Patrick Murray appeared in films like Quadrophenia, Scum, and Curse of the Pink Panther.

Additional television roles included the nineties comedy series The Upper Hand, The Bill, ITV Playhouse, and Bergerac.
