President Donald Trump stated on the weekend that he has extended an invitation the relatives of a National Guard member fatally shot last week to visit the presidential home.

He noted that he conversed with her parents and they were “heartbroken”.

US army specialist Sarah Beckstrom, twenty years old, was lost her life in a attack on Wednesday in DC.

Her comrade, Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, continues receiving treatment in serious condition.

The president explained he’s proposed a White House visit for the families of both individuals of the state Guard.

Mourners came together over the weekend at Webster County high school in West Virginia to honor Beckstrom.

Both they had been fulfilling duties with the state guard as part of the president’s national effort to assist policing efforts in Washington DC.

“She was the type of pupil that teachers desired. She conducted herself with calm resilience, a warm expression and a upbeat demeanor that lifted people around her,” Hankins, the head of Beckstrom’s previous school, stated to the media. “She was kind, caring and always eager to assist people.”

Memorial plans for Sarah are yet to be finalized.

Law enforcement have charged a 29-year-old individual from Afghanistan with a charge of homicide and two counts of violent assault while armed.

Beckstrom, from Summersville, graduated from her high school in 2023 and enlisted soon after, serving as a MP with excellence, according to the military.

“She had a lot of compassion and she absolutely had bravery,” he told the gathering at the vigil. “Though her life was cut short, she has made an impact that’s going to last forever.”
